Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to
transfer to tour which including El Sultan Hassan Mosque is a massive Mamluk
era mosque and madrassa located near the Citadel in Cairo. Its construction
began 757 AH/1356 CE with work ending three years later "without even a
single day of idleness". At the time of construction the mosque was
considered remarkable for its fantastic size and innovative architectural
components. Commissioned by an-Nasir Hasan, a sultan of a short and relatively
unimpressive profile, al-Maqrizi noted that within the mosque were several
"wonders of construction".The mosque was, for example, designed to
include schools for all four of the Sunni schools of thought: Shafi'i, Maliki,
Hanafi and Hanbali. Then you will transfer to El Rafaai Mosque named in English the Royal Mosque, is located
in Cairo, Egypt, in Midan al-Qal'a, adjacent to the Cairo Citadel. The building
is located opposite the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, which dates from
around 1361, and was architecturally conceived as a complement to the older
structure. This was part of a vast campaign by the 19th century rulers of Egypt
to both associate themselves with the perceived glory of earlier periods in
Egypt's Islamic history and modernize the city. The mosque was constructed next
to two large public squares and off of several European style boulevards
constructed around the same time. then you will transfer to Ibn Tulun mosque

surviving in its original form, and is the largest mosque in Cairo in terms of
land area. The mosque was commissioned by Ahmad ibn Ţūlūn, the Turkic Abbassid
governor of Egypt from 868–884 whose rule was characterized by de facto
independence. The historian al-Maqrizi lists the mosque's construction start
date as 876 AD, and the mosque's original inscription slab identifies the date
of completion as 265 AH, or 879 AD.The mosque was constructed on a small hill
called Gebel Yashkur, "The Hill of Thanksgiving." One local legend
says that it is here that Noah's Ark came to rest after the Deluge, instead of
at Mount Ararat. Then you will transfer to Alazhar Mosque is a mosque in
Islamic Cairo in Egypt. Al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah of the Fatimid Caliphate
commissioned its construction for the newly established capital city in 970.
Its name is usually thought to allude to the Islamic prophet Muhammad's
daughter Fatimah, a revered figure in Islam who was given the title az-Zahrā′
("the shining or resplendent one"). It was the first mosque
established in Cairo, a city that has since gained the nickname "the City
of a Thousand Minarets

Hanging Church is the most famous Coptic Christian church in Cairo, as well
as possibly the first built in Basilican style. It was probably built during
the patriarchate of Isaac (690–92), though an earlier church building may have
elsewhere existed dating as early as the 3rd or 4th century. The Hanging (The
Suspended) Church is named for its location above a gatehouse of Babylon
Fortress, the Roman fortress in Coptic Cairo (Old Cairo); its nave is suspended
over a passage. The church is approached by twenty-nine steps; early travelers
to Cairo dubbed it "the Staircase Church. The land surface has risen by
some six metres since the Roman period so that the Roman tower is mostly buried
below ground, reducing the visual impact of the church's elevated position. The
entrance from the street is through iron gates under a pointed stone arch. The
nineteenth-century facade with twin bell towers is then seen beyond a narrow
courtyard decorated with modern art biblical designs. Up the steps and through
the entrance is a further small courtyard leading to the eleventh-century outer
porch.then we will continue our tour by
visiting the Church of Abu-Sergah(Saints Sergius and Bacchus
Church) is one of the oldest Coptic churches in Egypt, dating back to the 4th
century. Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church is traditionally believed to have
been built on the spot where the Holy Family, Joseph, Mary and the infant Jesus
Christ, rested at the end of their journey into Egypt. They may have lived here
while Joseph worked at the fortress. The church is of significant historical
importance, and in fact, it is where many patriarchs of the Coptic Church were
elected. The first to be elected here was Patriarch Isaac (681-692) It is the
episcopal church of Cairo, and it was the episcopal (the district of Old Cairo) that replaced the
former
. then you will end your tour with Ben Ezra Synagogue or
El-Geniza Synagogue or the Synagogue of the Levantines (al-Shamiyin), is
situated in Old Cairo, Egypt. According to local folklore, it is located on the
site where baby Moses was found. This was the synagogue whose geniza or store
room was found in the 19th century to contain a treasure of abandoned Hebrew,
Aramaic and Judeo-Arabic secular and sacred manuscripts. The collection, known
as the Cairo Geniza, was brought to Cambridge, England at the instigation of
Solomon Schechter and is now divided between several academic libraries. Then
